So Mason in 14.5 months now. He's growing up so fast & he's so busy all day long! He plays with his sippy cups & lids for hours a day. Putting them together and taking them apart. He still loves balls and pretty much at least has one ball in his hand most of the day. Mason has a lot to say...he says many words in addition to some intresting babbling. His latest word is "do" as in "do it again". Favorite words are: Da, ma, papa, tay-a (kayla), up, all done, meow, woof-woof, ball, baby, juice, baddle (bottle), out, eat, dink (drink), more, he-woah (hello), bye bye, and quack quack. He loves to yell for "Da" all the time. Loves to be tickled and chased. Wants to say hi to the neighbor cats every night before bath time. Rick & Pat are 2 doors down, and are used to Mason meowing at their front door everyday. Then Mason and Rick say "google-a google-a" back n forth and share lemonade for awhile. It's really cute.
Mason likes to walk up the stairs like a big boy (while you hold his hands). His appetite has been really good, in fact, he ate an entire chicken breast for dinner last night. We started him off with lima beans and mac-n-cheese, which was going really good until he saw daddy cutting up the chicken. About 3 minutes later all the chicken was gone. Mason is a meat man like his dad. His favorite foods are chicken, steak, fish, grapes & baked sweet potatoe fries. He doesn't like carbonated beverages (ie pop) like his mom...whew! He doesn't seem to like sweets too much...double whew. He has been drinking his milk pretty much from a sippy cup during the day, but he is still getting an 8 oz bottle before bed which I think we are supposed to be cutting out here pretty soon. He loves to brush his teeth, so we do that a lot throughout the day and after his bedtime bottle.
Mason is a happy toddler. Pretty good attitude most of the day, except when he's hungry or tired. He is definitely testing his limits at times and will throw some temper tantrums (which are pretty funny). But not too bad. He still hates diaper changes (always has), and getting on his pj's is usually a teary event. Bedtime is pretty easy. 8pm is his bedtime goal give or take 1/2 hour, but he sleeps best when he's down by 8pm. Wake up is usually 6:30-7am. Mostly takes 2 naps a day still, sometimes just one, but does best with 2. Usually about 3 hours total of daytime naps. Mason seems to know his routine and likes it. He loves his crib, sometimes he will play in his crib for a good 1/2 hour before falling asleep before naps or night-night. It's cute, then he lays down and plays with his blankets until he falls asleep.
Mommy was on vacation for the last 1.5 weeks, so we had lots of fun hanging out. Mason seems to like bob (jogging stroller) and we went out for a jog everyday last week. Mason babbles most of the trip and is happy as long as he has a sippy cup of water or milk and then some puffies (gerber puff snacks) to munch on. He has about a 30 minute limit of being strapped down in bob. Then it's time to run around. He really likes being outside, and especially likes splashing around in his little foot deep pool. Too cute.
